How consent is collected
Consent is collected via text. No one is added to our messaging program by us — a consumer starts the conversation by texting us first, from their own handset, after reading the disclosure printed on the physical card they received in the mail.
- The consumer receives a printed prize card. The card is delivered by mail as part of a sponsored campaign in their neighborhood. Each card carries a unique 6-digit PIN and the opt-in disclosure reproduced below.
- The consumer texts their PIN to (855) 301-7746. Sending that message is a voluntary, affirmative action that opts them in to receive text messages from Tristate Ads about that card. We never send the first message.
- We reply with the result of their spin. The consumer receives a short confirmation ("Spinning…") followed by their prize result and, if they won, how to redeem it with the sponsoring local business.
- The consumer can stop at any time. Replying STOP ends all messages immediately. Replying HELP returns contact information and these terms.
Opt-in language printed on every card
Below is the actual mail piece sent to households, straight from the print file. The consent disclosure sits directly beneath the PIN and the phone number the consumer is asked to text, so no one can opt in without reading it first.
Text PIN Code: XXXXXX to (XXX) XXX-XXXX to play!*
*By texting, you agree to receive SMS msgs from Tristate Ads. Msg & data rates may
apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Each card is personalized at print time: XXXXXX is replaced with that household's unique 6-digit PIN and (XXX) XXX-XXXX with (855) 301-7746, the number shown throughout this page.
The QR code in the center of the wheel is a separate, web-only way to play: it opens the spin page on this website and involves no text messaging. Texting the PIN is the only path that starts SMS, and it is always the consumer's own outbound message.

Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who support the messaging program — such as our messaging provider — is limited to what is needed to deliver your messages. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared or sold to any third party.
We store the mobile number that texts us together with the card PIN played, so we can return the correct prize result and honor redemption. We do not use these numbers for unrelated marketing. We keep them only as long as needed to run the campaign and support redemption.

- Prizes are provided and honored by the local sponsoring business named in the message.
